Species text
This is a rare parasitic fly, recorded from S.England, Midlands (Worcs), Wales and Westmorland (Belshaw, 1993). This survey records the fly new to Essex. Its host is unknown, but localities include woodland, calcareous grassland and coastal dunes (Falk, in press). References
